The certification was awarded following a comprehensive testing process conducted by Brightsight, an SGS company and one of the world’s most respected authorities in cybersecurity evaluation. This independent validation affirms Owlet’s long-standing commitment to providing families with trusted, secure, and privacy-first technology that protects what matters most—their children.

The SGS Cybersecurity Mark is an internationally recognized credential that verifies a product’s compliance with the European Union’s Radio Equipment Directive (RED), Articles 3.3 (d) and (e). These articles establish strict guidelines for connected devices, requiring manufacturers to ensure robust protection against data breaches, unauthorized access, and privacy violations.
Owlet’s Dream Sight underwent rigorous testing in accordance with international standards EN 18031-1 and EN 18031-2. Following a detailed evaluation, SGS Fimko Oy, a Notified Body accredited by the European Commission, issued an official EU Type Certification confirming that Dream Sight meets the EU’s cybersecurity and data protection criteria.
This certification not only affirms Dream Sight’s technological reliability but also represents an industry first—no other baby monitor has achieved this level of cybersecurity validation. Each Dream Sight device will feature an integrated QR code on its digital packaging label, allowing customers to verify the certification and access full compliance documentation instantly.
