Samsung Brings Fans Closer to the Action at Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026
Samsung Electronics, a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, is set to elevate the experience of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 by integrating mobile innovation and Galaxy AI across Games-time operations. From dynamic Opening Ceremony perspectives to seamless on-site communications, Samsung is helping athletes, fans, and volunteers stay connected and engaged throughout the Games.
Dynamic Perspectives at the Opening Ceremony
At the heart of the Opening Ceremony experience, Galaxy S25 Ultra devices will capture unique, immersive perspectives alongside traditional broadcast cameras. Positioned in key locations such as stadium jibs, stands, and athlete tunnels, these devices will deliver real-time footage without disrupting production workflows, supported by 5G connectivity and superior camera performance. Working closely with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Broadcast Services (OBS), Samsung ensures that these mobile perspectives integrate seamlessly into the live broadcast.
The Opening Ceremony, taking place at Milan’s San Siro Stadium on Feb. 6, will welcome over 75,000 spectators and more than 3,500 athletes from over 90 countries. By enhancing broadcast coverage with Galaxy devices, Samsung helps spectators at the venue and millions watching worldwide feel closer to the energy and emotion of this historic event.
Empowering Volunteers and Streamlining Operations
Samsung’s innovations extend beyond broadcast. Selected volunteers will be equipped with Galaxy devices featuring Interpreter, powered by Galaxy AI, allowing real-time translations across languages. By processing translations directly on-device, volunteers can communicate quickly and naturally with athletes, officials, and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience across Milano Cortina’s geographically widespread venues.
Additionally, Samsung monitors will support competition operations in events like Short-Track Speed Skating, providing high-quality displays for officiating and monitoring, while Galaxy Charging Stations at venues ensure fans can stay connected throughout long event days.
Samsung House: A Hub for Connection and Storytelling
Samsung House, located in Milan’s historic Palazzo Serbelloni, will serve as a central hub for storytelling, interaction, and shared experiences. Guests can explore Samsung’s technology innovations, watch live competitions, participate in National Olympic Committee events, and view the Victory Profile portrait series. Hospitality moments curated by Michelin-starred chef Enrico Bartolini add a cultural touch, creating a warm and engaging environment.
Samsung House will operate from Feb. 4 to 22 during the Olympic Winter Games and reopen from March 6 to 15 for the Paralympic Winter Games, providing an invitation-only space for meaningful connections throughout the Games.
Connecting People Through Technology
At the heart of Samsung’s role at Milano Cortina 2026 is a clear ambition: to connect athletes and fans in every moment and remind everyone that the Olympic Games are, above all, about people,” said Stephanie Choi, EVP and Head of Mobile Marketing Center at Samsung Electronics.
Andrea Varnier, CEO of Milano Cortina 2026, added: “Samsung’s innovation bridges the distances between venues, transforming the vast territory of Milano Cortina 2026 into a single, unified arena. Their solutions redefine how the world experiences the spirit of the Games, keeping human connection at the center of this digital evolution.”
Through its latest Galaxy technology, Samsung continues to empower athletes, enhance fan experiences, and bring the global Olympic and Paralympic community closer to the action, creativity, and emotion of the world’s most celebrated winter sporting even
