Seelan Nayagam to lead regional strategy, growth, and digital transformation initiatives across Asia Pacific markets.
NTT DATA, a global leader in AI, digital business, and technology services, has announced the appointment of Seelan Nayagam as the new Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific at NTT DATA, Inc. His appointment will take effect on March 16, 2026, and he will be based in Singapore. Nayagam succeeds John Lombard in the role and will report directly to Abhijit Dubey, President and CEO of NTT DATA, Inc.
The leadership change comes at a time when NTT DATA is accelerating its strategy around AI-driven transformation and digital innovation across key global markets. The Asia Pacific region represents a major growth engine for the company, and Nayagam’s appointment reflects NTT DATA’s commitment to strengthening its leadership in this dynamic and rapidly evolving market.
Nayagam brings more than two decades of executive experience in digital transformation, enterprise technology services, and business growth across Asia Pacific and global markets. He joins NTT DATA from DXC Technology, where he led operations across Asia Pacific and the Middle East & Africa. In that role, he was responsible for multi-billion-dollar revenue portfolios, profitability, strategic direction, portfolio diversification, and governance. During his tenure, he played a central role in driving digital and cloud transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 clients, helping organizations modernize their technology environments and build resilience in an increasingly fast-paced and competitive landscape.
Before his time at DXC Technology, Nayagam held senior leadership roles at CSC and IBM. At IBM, he led the Asia Pacific Application Management portfolio, overseeing more than 20,000 team members across the region. In that capacity, he drove significant business growth and implemented changes that transformed the company’s sales discipline, helping strengthen its market position and operational performance.
Commenting on the appointment, Abhijit Dubey said that Nayagam’s leadership arrives at a pivotal moment for the company. As organizations worldwide seek to harness AI and digital technologies, NTT DATA is working closely with clients to support their transformation journeys. Dubey emphasized that Nayagam’s proven track record in delivering profitable growth through strategic client initiatives will be instrumental in accelerating innovation and expansion across the Asia Pacific region. He also expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Nayagam to the executive leadership team.
Dubey took the opportunity to thank outgoing Asia Pacific CEO John Lombard for his years of service. He noted that Lombard’s leadership played a key role in NTT DATA’s transformation and helped position the company for future success.
Nayagam said he was excited to join NTT DATA and become part of Dubey’s management team. He described the company as being in the midst of a significant transformation aimed at leading in the AI era. He added that it would be an honor to lead the Asia Pacific organization and drive client success and sustainable growth across the region. He also expressed enthusiasm about working with clients, partners, and colleagues to help shape the next phase of digital and AI transformation.
Nayagam holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Computer Science and Accounting from the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom.
