BST Global Launches 2026 AI + Data Impact Survey to Advance Digital Transformation in the AEC Industry
BST Global, the leading provider of AI-powered project intelligence™ solutions for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, has announced the launch of its second annual global AI + Data Survey.
Open to participants until 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2025, the survey seeks input from technology and data leaders across architecture, engineering, and environmental consultancy firms worldwide. Conducted in partnership with BST Global’s AI + Data Consortium and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Technology Committee, this initiative will capture insights on how AEC organizations are adopting and investing in artificial intelligence (AI) and big data technologies — and how these innovations are shaping business performance and strategy.
Findings from the survey will inform BST Global’s 2026 AI + Data Insights Report, a comprehensive analysis of how AI and data-driven tools are transforming project delivery, business operations, and profitability in the AEC sector. The report will be published in Spring 2026, following the success of BST Global’s 2025 report, which can be accessed online.
Tracking the Evolution of AI in the AEC Industry
This year’s survey builds upon the foundation of BST Global’s inaugural research, which benchmarked AI adoption across firms of varying sizes and regions. The 2026 edition is designed to provide a year-over-year comparison, highlighting how attitudes toward AI and data analytics have evolved, how firms are integrating these technologies into their workflows, and what measurable impacts they are experiencing.
“As AI technology continues to evolve, our industry’s relationship with it will evolve, too,” said Eileen M. Canady, Chief Marketing Officer at BST Global. “We want to understand what is and isn’t working for firms, identify new benefits and challenges, and offer strategies for successful integration. Our goal is to help the AEC industry make smarter, data-informed decisions that lead to better project outcomes.”
The survey will also explore budgetary priorities, technology readiness, and organizational maturity around AI and data initiatives, providing the industry with a clear picture of where firms stand — and where opportunities for growth and improvement remain.
Advancing Industry Collaboration Through the AI + Data Consortium
The BST Global AI + Data Consortium plays a central role in shaping the direction and scope of the survey. Formed to be the voice of AI-powered and data-driven innovation in the AEC space, the consortium brings together technology visionaries from leading firms worldwide.
Members collaborate to define industry best practices, conduct original AEC-focused research, and promote education and advocacy around the responsible and impactful use of emerging technologies. Through initiatives like the AI + Data Survey, the consortium aims to accelerate innovation and knowledge sharing across the global AEC community.
Partnership with ACEC: Expaning Reach and Engagement
BST Global’s collaboration with the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Technology Committee extends the survey’s reach to a broader audience of engineering firms and technology leaders across the United States and beyond.
“We’re committed to advancing AI education and awareness across firms of all sizes — especially the 80% of our member firms with fewer than 100 employees,” said Dave Mulholland, Chair of the ACEC Technology Committee. “Our partnership with BST Global allows us to gather meaningful insights, promote digital transformation, and help our members prepare for the opportunities and challenges AI brings to the AEC industry.”
The ACEC Technology Committee focuses on driving technology adoption through engagement, education, and advocacy. Its collaboration with BST Global underscores a shared mission to help firms harness AI and data to increase efficiency, improve project delivery, and enhance client value.
Encouraging Industry Participation
BST Global is inviting all data, digital, and technology leaders within AEC firms to participate in the 2026 AI + Data Survey to ensure their perspectives are represented in the upcoming report. By contributing to the survey, participants will help shape the industry’s collective understanding of how AI and big data are influencing productivity, competitiveness, and long-term success.
AEC professionals can participate in the survey by visiting [survey link] before the December 31, 2025 deadline.
