ChargePoint , a global pioneer in electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced the appointment of industry veteran Jaser Faruq as its new Chief Product and Software Officer. In his new role, Faruq will oversee ChargePoint’s global product management and software development organizations. During his tenure at Schneider Electric, he oversaw the acquisition of EnergySage, a leading clean energy marketplace connecting homeowners with solar installers, as well as Qmerit, a prominent EV charger installation platform. These acquisitions strengthened Schneider Electric’s ability to offer end-to-end electrification solutions, from energy procurement to installation and ongoing management.

Prior to Schneider Electric, Faruq led the residential energy business at Tesla, where he oversaw products that integrated solar energy, battery storage, and smart home energy management systems. His experience at Tesla provided him with deep insight into the intersection of automotive electrification, renewable energy integration, and consumer-centric product development.
