HEICO expands its aerospace portfolio with the completed acquisition of EthosEnergy’s accessories and components business, strengthening its aftermarket and repair capabilities.
HEICO Corporation has announced that its Flight Support Group subsidiary, Wencor Group, LLC, has completed the previously disclosed acquisition of EthosEnergy Accessories and Components Limited and EthosEnergy Accessories and Components, LLC, collectively referred to as Ethos A&C. The acquisition marks another step in HEICO’s strategy to expand its repair and overhaul capabilities across key aviation, defense, and industrial turbine markets.
Although the financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, HEICO expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings within the first year following closing. This suggests that the company anticipates the addition of Ethos A&C to have a positive impact on profitability in the near term.
Ethos A&C is a well-established provider of repair services for a wide range of engine accessories and components. Its capabilities include the servicing of fuel nozzles, wire harnesses, starters, valves, plenum assemblies, and air diffusers. In addition, the company repairs critical engine components such as blades, vanes, seals, and other related parts. These services support aeroderivative gas turbines as well as aerospace and defense applications.
Founded in 1979, Ethos A&C has grown into a leading provider of engine component and accessory repair solutions. Over more than four decades, the company has built a strong presence in the aeroderivative industrial gas turbine, aerospace, and defense markets. It currently employs approximately 175 people across three leased facilities located in Connecticut, South Carolina, and Scotland, with a combined operational footprint exceeding 175,000 square feet.
HEICO’s leadership emphasized the strategic value of the acquisition. Co-Chairmen and Co-Chief Executive Officers Eric A. Mendelson and Victor H. Mendelson, along with Wencor Chief Executive Officer Shawn Trogdon, stated that bringing the Ethos A&C team into the organization enhances Wencor’s capabilities in the aeroderivative industrial gas turbine sector. They noted that the combination will strengthen the company’s ability to support customers worldwide as energy demand continues to rise.
HEICO is primarily engaged in the design, production, servicing, and distribution of products and services for specialized segments of the aviation, defense, space, medical, telecommunications, and electronics industries. The company operates through two main business units: the Flight Support Group, headquartered in Hollywood, Florida, and the Electronic Technologies Group, based in Miami, Florida.
The company’s customer base includes the majority of the world’s airlines and overhaul facilities, as well as numerous defense and space contractors, military agencies, and equipment manufacturers across multiple industries. Through acquisitions such as Ethos A&C, HEICO continues to expand its service capabilities and global reach, reinforcing its position in niche markets where reliability, technical expertise, and lifecycle support are critical.
As with many corporate announcements, HEICO noted that certain statements regarding the acquisition and future performance are forward-looking and subject to various risks and uncertainties. These include factors such as economic conditions, airline travel demand, regulatory requirements, defense spending, and the company’s ability to successfully integrate acquisitions and achieve expected synergies.
