NVIDIA Commits $25M to Expand AI Education for K-12 Students in the U.S.
NVIDIA today announced new support for K-12 artificial intelligence education during a White House event celebrating public-private partnerships that advance AI learning opportunities for America’s youth.
The company pledged $25 million to expand AI literacy programs in partnership with Study Fetch and CK-12, two leading K-12 learning platforms. Together, they will adapt content from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) and NVIDIA Academy to fit U.S. classroom needs — providing students with hands-on AI experiences while equipping teachers with resources and training.
This latest commitment builds on NVIDIA’s long-standing support of AI education and research. Over the past five years, the company has invested $50 million in U.S. higher education and research initiatives. Recent contributions include $30 million to the National AI Research Resource pilot and a partnership with the U.S. National Science Foundation to support academic research.
Empowering Educators, Inspiring Students
In its first year, the initiative will focus on:
- Curriculum adaptation to align AI content with K-12 instruction
- Platform integration with Study Fetch and CK-12 for seamless classroom use
- Educator training to prepare teachers to deliver AI concepts
- Institutional engagement to expand adoption
- Outreach programs to build awareness and community support
While NVIDIA DLI courses are typically designed for professional developers, the new collaborations will curate and simplify materials for high school students. The goal is to spark curiosity, build practical AI skills, and prepare the next generation of workers for careers in the AI-powered economy.
NVIDIA aims to reach 1 million K-12 students within three years through these partnerships.
Advancing National AI Goals
The initiative aligns with the White House’s Executive Order on Advancing Artificial Intelligence Education for American Youth, announced in April, as well as the administration’s Pledge to America’s Youth: Investing in AI Education. NVIDIA has signed on to both efforts, committing to AI literacy, credentialing, and educator enablement.
This announcement also complements broader national strategies to strengthen U.S. leadership in AI. In July, the White House unveiled Winning the AI Race: America’s AI Action Plan, including measures to accelerate federal permitting of data center infrastructure and expand the export of U.S. AI technology.
Aligned with these goals, NVIDIA and the National Science Foundation recently committed $152 million to Ai2, supporting the development of open AI models for academic and nonprofit scientific use.
