Effective March 1, 2026, Malini Narayanamoorthi has assumed the role of Vice President and President of Renesas Electronics India. In this expanded leadership capacity, she will oversee the company’s operations, strategic direction, and growth initiatives across the Indian market. Narayanamoorthi previously served as India Country Manager and Vice President of MID Engineering within Renesas’ Analog & Mixed Signal Product Group, where she played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint and reinforcing its engineering leadership in the region.
Over the past several years, Narayanamoorthi has been instrumental in building strong and lasting relationships with customers, enhancing engineering capabilities, and fostering deeper collaboration between Indian teams and Renesas’ global operations. Her leadership has helped position India not only as a high-growth commercial market but also as a critical engineering hub supporting global product development and innovation initiatives. Under her guidance, Renesas significantly strengthened its local engineering infrastructure, enabling the company to respond more effectively to the needs of customers across automotive, industrial, infrastructure, and IoT segments.
In her new role, Narayanamoorthi is expected to further accelerate Renesas’ growth trajectory in India by driving strategic initiatives aligned with the country’s rapidly expanding technology ecosystem. Simultaneously, Renesas announced the appointment of Yvonne Liu as Vice President and President of Renesas Electronics China, also effective March 1, 2026. Liu brings 26 years of extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, with expertise spanning the entire value chain—from design and development to manufacturing, sales, and ecosystem partnerships. Her professional background covers a broad spectrum of markets, including automotive, consumer electronics, industrial systems, IoT, and cybersecurity.
Prior to joining Renesas, Liu held senior leadership positions at NXP Semiconductors, most recently serving as Vice President and General Manager of Greater China Automotive. In that role, she led cross-functional teams to drive business expansion, strengthen customer engagement, and execute strategic growth initiatives in one of the world’s most competitive automotive semiconductor markets. Her leadership contributed to deepening relationships with leading automotive OEMs and technology partners, reinforcing her reputation as a results-driven executive with strong regional insight.
In her new position at Renesas, Liu will oversee operations and strategic execution across China, a market that continues to play a central role in global semiconductor innovation and demand. China’s technology ecosystem remains one of the most innovative and strategically significant in the world, characterized by rapid advancements in electric vehicles, smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and next-generation connectivity. Liu’s responsibilities will include enhancing engagement with key customers and ecosystem partners, strengthening operational excellence, and driving sustainable business growth across automotive, industrial, and IoT segments.
Both Narayanamoorthi and Liu will report directly to Hidetoshi Shibata, Chief Executive Officer of Renesas. Their appointments underscore the company’s emphasis on empowering regional leadership while maintaining a globally integrated operational structure.
