Samsung Unveils New Education Tools for Interactive Displays at ISTELive 2026

Samsung Electronics has introduced a new suite of education-focused solutions for its Android-based Samsung Interactive Display lineup, reinforcing its commitment to transforming digital classrooms through intelligent technologies, personalized experiences, and simplified device management. The latest innovations were announced during ISTELive 2026, one of the world’s leading education technology conferences organized by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), held from June 28 to July 1 in Orlando, Florida.

The newly unveiled solutions are designed to address some of the most pressing challenges faced by modern schools, including shared classroom technology, personalized teaching environments, streamlined IT administration, and the growing need for AI-powered learning experiences. By combining advanced hardware capabilities with artificial intelligence and cloud-based management tools, Samsung aims to provide educators and administrators with practical solutions that enhance both teaching effectiveness and student engagement.

According to Samsung, today’s digital learning environments require more than just high-quality displays. Schools increasingly depend on integrated ecosystems that connect teachers, students, and educational content while reducing administrative burdens and improving classroom flexibility.

Hyoung Jae Kim, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, emphasized the importance of balancing hardware innovation with intelligent software capabilities.

He noted that successful digital classrooms rely on a combination of advanced display technology, intuitive user interfaces, and smart connectivity solutions. Samsung’s latest interactive display ecosystem has been developed with the goal of creating learning spaces where teachers can focus more on instruction and less on technology management.

One of the major announcements at ISTELive 2026 was Samsung Account Management Solution (AMS), a platform designed to personalize the shared classroom display experience. In many educational institutions, multiple teachers use the same interactive display throughout the school day, often creating challenges related to account access, privacy, and customization.

Samsung AMS addresses these issues by enabling teachers to securely sign in using QR codes or NFC-enabled identification cards. The system comes pre-installed on compatible Android-based Samsung Interactive Display models, allowing educators to quickly access their accounts without relying on locally stored profiles.

This approach helps schools maximize the use of shared classroom devices while ensuring that teachers retain access to their personalized settings and teaching resources.

A key feature of Samsung AMS is Home Personalization, which enables cloud-based user profiles. Once authenticated, teachers can immediately access their preferred workspace regardless of which classroom they enter.

Personalized elements include wallpapers, bookmarks, frequently used applications, shortcuts, saved files, and display settings. This capability effectively transforms shared displays into customized teaching environments that travel with educators from room to room.

For teachers who move between classrooms multiple times each day, maintaining a consistent digital workspace can significantly improve productivity and reduce setup time. Instead of manually configuring displays or searching for teaching materials, educators can instantly continue lessons with their familiar layouts and tools already in place.

It has also introduced enhanced security measures within AMS. Teachers can activate a screen lock feature whenever they need to step away from the classroom for short periods. This functionality helps safeguard sensitive information, lesson plans, and student-related content while maintaining convenience and ease of use.

Beyond the classroom experience, It is also targeting the needs of school IT departments through the Samsung Education Portal. As educational institutions deploy increasing numbers of connected devices, centralized management becomes essential for maintaining operational efficiency.

The Samsung Education Portal offers IT administrators a unified platform to register educators, enroll devices, and manage access permissions across entire school systems. Administrators can associate NFC-enabled identification cards with teacher accounts, allowing educators to securely access interactive displays using assigned credentials.

The portal also enables IT teams to remotely activate Samsung AMS features on selected devices, monitor account access, and manage user permissions when necessary. These capabilities simplify administrative workflows and ensure that displays remain ready for use by the next teacher without requiring extensive manual configuration.

Another important addition within the Its Education Portal is the Tags feature. This functionality allows IT managers to organize displays according to schools, campuses, buildings, classrooms, or other categories.

Tagging capabilities can also support emergency communication initiatives. Schools can use these tags to distribute targeted alerts and notifications to selected Samsung Interactive Displays through established emergency notification systems such as InformaCast and Raptor.

This integration enables educational institutions to deliver timely information during emergencies while improving campus-wide communication strategies.

Samsung also highlighted its AI Assistant platform, which introduces artificial intelligence capabilities directly into classroom instruction. The Samsung AI Assistant is designed to help educators save time, improve lesson delivery, and foster greater student participation.

Available on compatible Android-based Samsung Interactive Displays, the AI Assistant includes tools that support content discovery, transcription services, lesson summaries, and automated quiz generation.

One of the most notable features is Circle to Search. This capability enables teachers to simply draw a circle around text, images, diagrams, or other content displayed on screen to instantly retrieve additional information.

Relevant visuals, videos, web resources, and contextual materials can be accessed without leaving the interactive display environment. Educators can then integrate this information into classroom activities using applications such as Samsung Whiteboard, creating more dynamic and engaging lessons.

Samsung believes this seamless content exploration process can help teachers respond to student questions more effectively while expanding learning opportunities beyond traditional teaching materials.

Accessibility is another major focus of Samsung AI Assistant. The Live Transcript feature converts spoken instruction into real-time text displayed directly on the screen.

This functionality can benefit students with hearing impairments, as well as multilingual learners who may need additional support understanding spoken content. By providing live captions during lessons, schools can create more inclusive learning environments and improve educational accessibility.

Samsung AI Assistant also incorporates AI Summary and AI Quiz capabilities. Using recorded lesson content, the system can automatically generate concise summaries that teachers can revisit later or share with students.

The AI Quiz feature creates assessment questions based on lesson materials, allowing educators to evaluate student understanding immediately after instruction. Teachers can quickly measure comprehension levels, identify knowledge gaps, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

Real-time insights into student performance, including overall correct answer rates, can help educators make more informed decisions while maintaining engagement through the end of each lesson.

To further simplify the teaching experience, Samsung has integrated Single Sign-On functionality between Samsung AMS and Samsung AI Assistant. This allows educators to seamlessly access previous lessons, saved summaries, generated quizzes, and instructional resources without repeatedly entering login credentials.

Alongside software innovations, Samsung introduced new additions to its Android-based Interactive Display portfolio. The company unveiled three new models designed to meet the needs of classrooms, lecture halls, media centers, and collaborative learning spaces.

The WAF-S and WAFX-PS models introduce Android 16 support, representing a significant software upgrade from previous generations. The latest Android platform brings improvements in usability, accessibility, security, privacy, and overall system performance.

Samsung believes the updated operating system will enable schools to benefit from enhanced functionality while preserving the familiar experience educators already expect from Samsung Interactive Displays.

The WAHX-M model marks another important expansion for its’s education portfolio by introducing a 98-inch interactive display option for the first time.

Designed for larger environments such as lecture halls, conference spaces, and collaborative learning areas, the WAHX-M will be available in 65-inch, 75-inch, 86-inch, and 98-inch configurations.

The display supports a range of on-device AI capabilities including voice commands, AI-powered calculations, and text-to-speech functionality. Combined with Its AMS and Its AI Assistant, these features provide institutions with greater flexibility when designing technology-enhanced learning spaces.
