
Samsung Unveils All-New Large-Screen Odyssey G7 Monitors at Gamescom 2025
Samsung Electronics has officially debuted its latest large-screen Odyssey G7 gaming monitors at Gamescom 2025, the world’s largest gaming convention, taking place from August 20 to 24 in Cologne, Germany. Alongside the new G7 lineup, Samsung is also highlighting its expanding glasses-free Odyssey 3D gaming ecosystem, and revealing new partnerships with top-tier game publishers, developers, and studios.
Introducing the New Odyssey G7 M
Samsung’s new Odyssey G7 (G75F) comes in two expansive sizes:
- 37-inch 4K UHD (3,840 × 2,160) with a 16:9 aspect ratio
- 40-inch WUHD (5,120 × 2,160) — Samsung’s first — with a 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio
These models expand Samsung’s large-screen offerings beyond the existing 32- and 43-inch 4K displays, giving gamers more choice in high-resolution, immersive gameplay.
Key features include:
- Picture-by-Picture (PBP) and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) for multitasking
- VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification and 350 nits brightness for vibrant visuals
- HDR10+ Gaming for enhanced HDR performance
- AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro to reduce screen tearing and stuttering
- CoreSync for ambient light matching based on screen content
- Auto Source Switch+ for seamless input detection
- Comprehensive connectivity, including 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1 ports
- Ergonomic design with height, tilt, and swivel adjustments
Attendees can try out the new G7 monitors at the Samsung booth (Hall 9, 1st Floor) by playing Genshin Impact from HoYoverse on both screen sizes.
The Odyssey G7 is already available in South Korea and the U.S., with European availability starting in Septem
Expanding the Odyssey 3D Ecosystem with New Games and Partnerships
Samsung is also showcasing the growth of its glasses-free 3D gaming platform, powered by the Odyssey 3D (G90XF) monitor. At Gamescom, the company announced new collaborations with top gaming companies:
- Netmarble: Attendees can experience the upcoming MONGIL: STAR DIVE in 3D
- SHIFT UP: Stellar Blade, the popular action title, is now playable in immersive 3D for the first time
Samsung’s #PlayGalaxy user event will run from August 22–23 at Dock2 in central Cologne, offering fans hands-on time with devices like the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Odyssey 3D.
Odyssey 3D enhances gaming with custom 3D depth effects for each title — no glasses required. Players can fine-tune their 3D experience using adjustable focal distance and parallax settings for tailored immersion.
Samsung’s Odyssey 3D Hub continues to grow, already supporting over 25 3D-enabled games, including The First Berserker: Khazan. By year-end, the library is expected to feature over 50 games, such as Lies of P: Overture, Stellar Blade, and MONGIL: STAR DIV
Showcasing Unreleased Titles with Odyssey OLED
Samsung also used the Gamescom stage to spotlight upcoming unreleased titles from leading game studios, leveraging the premium visuals of the Odyssey OLED lineup.
According to IDC data, Samsung has retained its position as the world’s No.1 gaming monitor brand for six consecutive years. In Q1 2025 alone, the company held an 18.9% global market share, and leads the European market with a 24.6% share.
