Lenovo Launches Its First Google Chromebook with Premium AI Features

Lenovo Unveils Its First Googlebook, Combining Premium Design with AI-Powered Experiences

Lenovo has introduced the Lenovo Googlebook 15, its first Googlebook, expanding its laptop portfolio with a device that combines Google’s latest computing and AI experiences with Lenovo’s focus on design, engineering and user-centric innovation.

Designed for professionals, creators, entrepreneurs and everyday users, the Lenovo Googlebook 15 brings together powerful processing, a premium display, immersive audio and a lightweight form factor. Powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor with built-in Gemini Intelligence, up to 32GB of memory and up to 512GB of storage, the device is designed to support productivity, creativity and connected experiences wherever users work.

At less than 3 lbs., the Lenovo Googlebook 15 is also the lightest 15-inch device in Lenovo’s portfolio, combining a large display with a form factor designed for mobility.

“The Lenovo Googlebook 15 represents the next step in Lenovo’s collaboration with Google and our commitment to making powerful intelligent experiences accessible to more people,” said Benny Zhang, Executive Director and General Manager of Chromebooks in Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group. “By combining Google’s intelligence capabilities with Lenovo’s expertise in bringing devices to life through thoughtful design and engineering, we are expanding our portfolio with a new option designed for today’s connected lifestyles.”

A premium display designed for work and entertainment

At the centre of the Lenovo Googlebook 15 is a 15.3-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen designed to deliver a detailed and immersive viewing experience.

With a 2880 x 1800 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage, the display is designed to make everything from creative work and content consumption to everyday browsing appear sharper and more vibrant. Its 16:10 aspect ratio provides additional vertical space for working with documents, applications and other content.

The touchscreen is complemented by a responsive haptic touchpad that provides precise tactile feedback for navigation. Support for pinch-to-zoom and precision scrolling makes it easier to interact with content, while the larger touch surface is designed to provide a more natural and comfortable experience.

For audio, the device features a four-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, delivering richer sound for music, films, presentations and video calls.

Lightweight, durable and designed for mobility

Despite its 15-inch display, the Lenovo Googlebook 15 weighs from just 1.29kg, or under 3 lbs. This makes it Lenovo’s lightest 15-inch device and gives users a combination of screen real estate and portability.

The device is designed to withstand the demands of everyday use, with MIL-STD-810H testing and a TÜV Low Blue Light certification. Its premium metal chassis features an anti-fingerprint coating, providing a smooth finish while helping keep the exterior looking clean.

Lenovo has also incorporated several practical features into the design. A signature Glowbar allows users to check battery and charging status even when the lid is closed. An integrated fingerprint reader and facial authentication provide convenient sign-in options, while a physical camera shutter gives users additional control over webcam privacy.

The 70Wh battery is rated for up to 12.5 hours of battery life, giving users the flexibility to move between work, creative projects and entertainment without being constantly tied to a power outlet.

AI-powered productivity

AI is a central part of the Lenovo Googlebook 15 experience.

With Gemini Intelligence built in, the device is designed to help users move more quickly from ideas to actions. One of the standout features is Magic Pointer, which adds new functionality to the traditional cursor.

Users can wiggle the cursor to activate Gemini and access contextual actions. For example, they can use images as part of a creative task or quickly add information to their calendar. These features are designed to make AI interactions more intuitive and integrate them directly into everyday computing workflows.

The device also introduces Rambler, a voice-to-text experience designed to make dictation more natural. By pressing the dedicated dictation key, users can speak naturally while Rambler removes filler words and adds formatting to transform spoken thoughts into more polished text.

This can be useful when brainstorming, drafting emails, preparing documents or even coding. Rambler can also keep up when users switch between supported languages during a conversation, helping make voice input more flexible.

Designed to work across devices

The Lenovo Googlebook 15 is also designed to work seamlessly with Android devices. Users can connect their phones to the Googlebook to access apps and files and move more easily between devices.

The experience can be further enhanced with the Lenovo AI Mouse, designed specifically for Googlebook. The mouse provides quick access to Gemini, supports contextual actions through Magic Pointer and allows users to personalize controls according to their preferred workflows.

Together, these features are designed to make AI less of a separate tool and more of an integrated part of everyday computing.

The package also includes access to applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and CapCut, giving creators additional tools for editing images and video.

Combined with the device’s processing capabilities, display and audio system, these services position the Googlebook 15 as a device designed not only for traditional productivity but also for creative and AI-assisted workflows.

Performance and connectivity

The Lenovo Googlebook 15 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor and supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 512GB of SSD storage.

Lenovo says the device can deliver up to 47 TOPS of performance, supporting the AI workloads and applications built into the device.

With its combination of a large OLED display, lightweight construction, AI-powered experiences and cross-device connectivity, the Lenovo Googlebook 15 marks a new addition to Lenovo’s portfolio. By bringing together Google’s AI and software ecosystem with Lenovo’s hardware expertise, the company is positioning its first Googlebook as a device designed for the increasingly connected way people work, create, learn and communicate.
