Where Precision Meets Imagination: Highlights From Design Miami Seoul 2026
What happens when human imagination, artificial intelligence, art and technology converge? At Design Miami Seoul 2026, Samsung Electronics explored that question through a special exhibition that placed human creativity at the heart of technological innovation.
From September 1 to 6, Samsung presented “Design is an Act of Love” at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul. The exhibition offered an immersive interpretation of Samsung’s human-centered design philosophy, inviting visitors to see familiar products through an entirely new lens.
Rather than presenting technology simply as a collection of functional objects, the exhibition explored the emotional connections people form with the things they use every day. Fourteen Korean artists and creative studios were invited to draw inspiration from Samsung products and interpret the idea of an “act of love” through their own perspectives, materials and visual languages.
The result was a diverse collection of artworks that brought together emotion, imagination and technology. Some of the artists incorporated artificial intelligence into their creative processes, using AI as a tool to develop ideas, experiment with new forms and push their artistic concepts beyond conventional boundaries.
The finished works were displayed on Samsung’s OLED TV S95H screens, each presented within a custom-designed frame featuring distinctive materials, textures and forms. By turning the displays into works of art in their own right, the exhibition blurred the boundaries between screen, object and artwork.
Samsung Newsroom visited “Design is an Act of Love” at Design Miami Seoul to explore how art, design and technology came together to create a new perspective on human-centered innovation.
14 Acts of Love Inspired by Samsung Products
As visitors entered the exhibition, they encountered 14 artworks presented on OLED TV S95H displays. Each piece offered a unique interpretation of a Samsung product, transforming everyday technology into a starting point for stories about human experience, relationships and emotion.
The Precision works spanned Samsung’s mobile devices, televisions and home appliances, demonstrating how technology can become deeply intertwined with the routines, memories and experiences of everyday life.
At the center of the exhibition was an exploration of the evolving relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence. This idea was expressed through the formula AI × (EI + HI) — Artificial Intelligence amplified by Emotional Intelligence and Human Imagination.
The concept emphasizes that technology does not have to replace human creativity. Instead, AI can serve as a creative partner, helping artists visualize ideas, explore possibilities and discover unexpected directions.
Each artwork began with something inherently human: intuition, emotion, observation, personal experience or imagination. From there, some artists engaged with AI to expand their initial ideas, experimenting with new visual possibilities while retaining their own creative perspectives.
In this sense, AI became an amplifier rather than a substitute for artistic expression. The technology provided new possibilities, but it was human intention that gave those possibilities meaning.
Turning Technology Into a Story
One of the Precision exhibition’s most engaging works was “EVERYTHING, SO FAR…” by Aihyung Jo, inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold8.
Using metaphor and humor, the artist explored the human desire to communicate feelings and connect with others. The work draws attention to the ways technology has continually expanded humanity’s ability to express ideas, emotions and experiences.
The Precision foldable form of the Galaxy Z Fold8 provided an especially fitting foundation for this concept. Across its inner and outer displays, visual symbols representing human progress highlight how technological development has expanded human capabilities and opened the door to seemingly limitless possibilities.
Rather than simply depicting a smartphone, the artwork transforms the device into a visual narrative about communication, progress and the human instinct to reach beyond existing boundaries.
For visitors, the result offered an opportunity to consider familiar technology from a different perspective — not simply as a tool, but as an extension of human imagination and connection.
Giving Shape to Sound
Another distinctive interpretation came from design studio Everyday Practice with “The Shape of Sound.”
Inspired by Music Studio 5, the work reimagines sound as more than something that is heard. Instead, it presents sound as a shared experience capable of connecting people within a space.
The Precision artwork uses waveforms radiating outward from a central point, accompanied by expanding layers that suggest the movement of sound through an environment. The visual language captures the way a single sound can travel across a room, reaching and bringing together everyone within it.
Through this transformation, an intangible sensory experience becomes something visual and tangible.
The Precision `work also reflects the broader theme of the exhibition: acts of connection can take many forms. Technology can help people communicate, share experiences and create moments of togetherness, while design can translate those experiences into forms that can be seen, felt and understood.
Everyday Objects, Extraordinary Memories
The Precision exhibition also explored the emotional significance of objects found at the heart of everyday life.
In “Gitdeun,” artist and creative collective kkamangdol reimagined the Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub as a reflection of family tastes, memories and shared experiences.
A refrigerator may appear to be an ordinary household appliance, but it can also occupy a meaningful place in the rhythms of family life. It is present during meals, celebrations, quiet mornings and everyday routines. It can hold ingredients connected to cherished recipes, reminders of special occasions and the small details that make a home feel personal.
“Gitdeun” draws on this familiarity to portray the refrigerator as more than an appliance. It becomes a vessel for memories and a reflection of the people who use it.
The Precision work evokes the tenderness found in familiar objects and everyday rituals, capturing the warmth and anticipation associated with February as winter gradually gives way to spring.
Through this Precision interpretation, an everyday Samsung product becomes a symbol of something much more universal: the ways people express care through ordinary acts.

When Design Becomes an Act of Love
Across the 14 works, “Design is an Act of Love” demonstrated how technology can become more meaningful when viewed through a human lens.
The Precision exhibition was not simply about showcasing products or exploring the latest advances in AI. Instead, it invited visitors to think about why technology matters in the first place — because it exists within human lives, relationships, memories and aspirations.
By bringing Korean artists and designers into dialogue with Samsung products, the exhibition revealed new possibilities for interpreting technology through emotion and imagination. AI added another dimension to that conversation, providing artists with new tools for experimentation while reinforcing the importance of human creativity.
The Precision OLED TV S95H displays further strengthened this relationship between art and technology. With each screen presented inside a custom frame, the displays became part of the artworks rather than simply serving as digital canvases.
Ultimately, the exhibition offered a simple but powerful message: technology is at its most compelling when it amplifies what makes us human.
At Precision Design Miami Seoul 2026, Samsung brought that philosophy to life through 14 distinct acts of interpretation — showing how imagination, emotion, technology and design can come together to transform the familiar into something extraordinary.
