Qnity Appoints Semiconductor Finance Veteran Ken Rizvi as Chief Financial Officer
Qnity Electronics, Inc,a technology solutions provider serving the semiconductor value chain, has appointed semiconductor industry finance veteran Ken Rizvi as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Rizvi will officially assume the position on October 1, bringing more than 25 years of financial leadership experience to the company.
The appointment comes as Qnity continues to expand its role in technologies supporting semiconductor manufacturing, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and advanced connectivity.
Michael Goss, who has been serving as Qnity’s interim Chief Financial Officer, will transition to the role of Vice President, Finance and Controllership when Rizvi takes over as CFO.
Experienced Leadership for Qnity’s Next Phase
Qnity CEO Jon Kemp said Rizvi’s extensive experience as a public company CFO and his background across multiple areas of the semiconductor industry make him well suited to lead the company’s finance organization.
Kemp highlighted Rizvi’s experience in capital allocation, operational excellence and financial discipline as important strengths that can support Qnity’s continued growth.
According to Kemp, Rizvi’s leadership will help the company maintain its momentum while advancing its broader strategy for growth and value creation. He also emphasized the importance of working closely with Rizvi to deliver value for Qnity’s customers, employees and investors.
Rizvi’s appointment adds an executive with broad experience across the semiconductor ecosystem at a time when the industry is experiencing significant demand driven by AI, high-performance computing and increasingly sophisticated electronic systems.
Rizvi Brings More Than 25 Years of Finance Experience
Rizvi joins Qnity with more than two decades of experience in financial management, including senior executive and CFO positions at several semiconductor and technology companies.
Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Synaptics, a publicly traded semiconductor company. In that role, Rizvi oversaw a broad range of corporate functions, including global finance, corporate development, investor relations and information technology.
His responsibilities at Synaptics gave him experience managing financial strategy across an international technology business while working closely with investors and corporate leadership.
Before joining Synaptics, Rizvi served as CFO of Smart Global Holdings, now known as Penguin Solutions. During his tenure, he helped drive significant margin expansion and oversaw two major strategic transactions that transformed the company’s business.
His career also includes CFO positions at UTAC Group in Singapore and Isola Group, as well as progressively senior finance positions at Micron Technology and ON Semiconductor Corporation.
This background has given Rizvi experience across a wide range of semiconductor-related businesses and technologies.
Broad Semiconductor Industry Expertise
One of Rizvi’s key strengths is the breadth of his semiconductor industry experience.
His career has included exposure to areas spanning semiconductor design, manufacturing, memory, packaging and supply chains. This gives him a broad understanding of the financial and operational challenges facing companies throughout the semiconductor ecosystem.
That industry knowledge is particularly relevant to Qnity, whose products and technologies support multiple stages of the semiconductor and electronics value chain.
Rizvi said his long career in the semiconductor sector has given him a firsthand understanding of the importance of materials innovation in enabling new generations of technology.
He expressed confidence in Qnity’s position within the market and said he looks forward to working with Kemp and the wider leadership team to pursue opportunities for continued growth.
Supporting Technology Innovation
Qnity operates at the intersection of materials science, semiconductor manufacturing and advanced electronics.
The company provides technology solutions designed to support semiconductor production and high-speed data transmission within complex electronic systems.
Its technologies are intended to enable developments in areas such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and advanced connectivity, markets that are increasingly dependent on sophisticated semiconductor and materials technologies.
As demand for computing power continues to increase, semiconductor manufacturers and technology companies are looking for solutions that can improve performance, efficiency and reliability.
Qnity aims to address these needs through high-performance materials and integration technologies that support the development of next-generation electronic systems.
CFO Role to Support Growth and Financial Discipline
Rizvi’s appointment is expected to strengthen Qnity’s financial leadership as the company continues to pursue its strategic objectives.
As CFO, he will oversee the company’s financial organization and play an important role in areas such as financial planning, capital allocation, investor relations and operational performance.
His previous experience managing finance organizations at public semiconductor companies could also help Qnity navigate the financial and strategic demands associated with operating in a rapidly changing technology market.
Capital allocation will be particularly important as companies across the semiconductor ecosystem invest in new technologies, production capabilities and infrastructure to support growing demand.
Rizvi’s experience in managing corporate development and transformational transactions also provides Qnity with additional expertise as it evaluates opportunities to expand its business and strengthen its competitive position.

Leadership Transition
The appointment also establishes a new leadership structure within Qnity’s finance organization.
Michael Goss, who has been serving as interim CFO, will move into the position of Vice President, Finance and Controllership when Rizvi assumes the CFO role on October 1.
The transition allows Qnity to retain Goss’s financial expertise while bringing Rizvi into the company’s senior leadership team.
Goss’s continued role is expected to support continuity within the finance organization as Rizvi takes responsibility for the broader CFO function.
The combination of new executive leadership and continued internal financial expertise provides Qnity with a structure designed to support its next phase of development.
Focus on AI and High-Performance Computing
Qnity’s business is closely connected to some of the fastest-growing areas of the technology industry.
The expansion of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing is driving demand for increasingly powerful semiconductor systems. At the same time, advanced connectivity requirements are increasing the need for materials and integration technologies capable of supporting higher data speeds and increasingly complex electronic architectures.
Qnity’s products and expertise are designed to address these requirements across the semiconductor value chain.
The company’s focus on high-performance materials and integration is intended to help customers develop technologies that can support future generations of computing and connectivity.
Rizvi’s semiconductor background could provide valuable insight as Qnity continues to navigate these market opportunities.
Looking Ahead
With Rizvi joining as CFO, Qnity is adding an experienced financial leader with a career spanning several important areas of the semiconductor industry.
His experience as a public company CFO, combined with his background in semiconductor manufacturing, design, memory, packaging and supply chains, provides a broad perspective that can support It ‘s strategic and financial objectives.
For It , the appointment comes as the company continues to position itself as a technology provider serving critical segments of the semiconductor ecosystem.
The company plans to leverage its materials and integration expertise to support innovations in AI, high-performance computing and advanced connectivity while maintaining a focus on operational performance and long-term value creation.
