Samsung Electronics Wins Multiple Honors at IDEA 2025 for Design Excellence

Samsung Electronics today announced that it has been recognized for outstanding design at the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2025, receiving two Gold, three Silver, and three Bronze awards, in addition to 39 Finalist recognitions.

IDEA, organized by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) since 1980, is one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. This year, winners were selected across 20 categories — including Home, Consumer Technology, and Digital Interaction — with evaluation criteria spanning Design Innovation, User Benefit, and Societal Impact.

Samsung’s success reflects its ongoing commitment to human-centered design, leveraging cutting-edge technology to improve daily life and enhance meaningful experiences.

“Innovation born from advanced technology and human empathy enriches people’s lives,” said Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “We are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology while creating deeper connections that lead to a brighter, more connected future.”

Gold Awards

Samsung received IDEA’s highest honor for the following:

  • Samsung Inclusive Essentials — An advanced accessibility concept for home appliances designed to support visually impaired and elderly users. Standardized shapes, colors, embossing, sound, and lighting features provide clear visual, auditory, and tactile guidance.
Silver Awards

  • Galaxy Tab S10 Series — Samsung’s first AI-enhanced tablets featuring 3D Map View for intuitive device management across the SmartThings ecosystem.
  • Samsung Smart Modular House Concept — A flexible living space that integrates AI and advanced IT, adapting to evolving lifestyles.
  • Digital Twin — A next-generation AI-powered b.IoT solution for smart building management, offering intuitive operations, energy efficiency, and sustainability through 3D-based technology.
