Management noted that the steady improvement reflects ongoing cost discipline, operational efficiencies, and continued progress toward achieving long-term profitability.

GAAP net loss for the quarter translated to $0.17 per share, while non-GAAP loss per share came in at $0.05, matching management’s prior financial guidance.

Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Donald McClymont described the quarter as another important step in indie’s growth strategy, emphasizing that the company has successfully returned to a stronger growth trajectory after navigating industry-wide challenges over the past several years.

According to McClymont, increasing customer adoption of indie’s semiconductor platforms, particularly in radar sensing and computer vision, is creating new opportunities across global automotive markets. He highlighted that expanding deployment of the company’s technology among leading vehicle manufacturers in North America, Europe, and China is strengthening indie’s competitive position while broadening its long-term addressable market.

One of the company’s most significant achievements during the quarter involved continued momentum for its 77GHz radar platform, which secured additional customer programs across multiple global automotive manufacturers. These radar systems are designed to support increasingly sophisticated driver assistance and autonomous driving features, including adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, automated parking, and other advanced safety applications.

Management believes growing adoption of 77GHz radar technology will remain one of the primary growth drivers for the automotive semiconductor industry as automakers continue integrating higher levels of sensing capabilities into both premium and mass-market vehicles.

Beyond radar, indie also reported accelerating activity within its computer vision business. The company continues to expand deployment of image processing and perception technologies capable of interpreting complex driving environments while supporting intelligent vehicle automation.

Executives noted that computer vision, combined with radar and other sensing technologies, forms an increasingly important foundation for next-generation ADAS platforms and future autonomous driving systems.

Another emerging growth area highlighted during the quarter was Physical AI, where semiconductor technologies enable machines and robots to interact intelligently with the physical world using advanced sensing and perception capabilities.

During the second quarter, indie secured several notable Physical AI design wins, including new customer engagements with Unitree and Agibot. These projects involve sensing technologies designed for intelligent robotics and autonomous systems, illustrating the company’s strategic expansion beyond traditional automotive markets into adjacent industrial applications.

The company also continued advancing its artificial intelligence semiconductor portfolio through the introduction of the iND881, a next-generation Edge AI system-on-chip (SoC). The new processor is designed to deliver high-performance computing capabilities for automotive applications while also addressing emerging opportunities in robotics and intelligent machines.

According to management, Edge AI processors allow data to be processed directly on vehicles or devices rather than relying on cloud computing, enabling lower latency, improved reliability, enhanced privacy, and faster real-time decision making.

During the quarter, indie also announced additional customer design wins for its iND880 vision processor, particularly among leading automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in China. The processor supports advanced camera-based perception systems used for lane detection, traffic sign recognition, pedestrian detection, driver monitoring, and other intelligent vehicle functions.

China remains one of the fastest-growing markets for advanced automotive electronics, making these customer wins strategically important as automakers accelerate adoption of software-defined vehicle architectures and AI-enabled safety technologies.

The company also reported a record quarter for Quantum-related bookings, supported by multiple new customer-funded development programs. While management provided limited financial details regarding these contracts, executives emphasized that Quantum technologies represent another emerging opportunity capable of driving long-term revenue diversification beyond the automotive sector.

Recognition from customers also highlighted indie’s growing reputation within the automotive supply chain. During the quarter, the company received the Supplier Excellence Award from Indian automotive manufacturer Mahindra in recognition of its emotion3D in-cabin monitoring software.

The emotion3D platform uses artificial intelligence and computer vision algorithms to monitor driver attention, occupant behavior, fatigue, and overall cabin safety. These technologies are becoming increasingly important as governments worldwide implement stricter vehicle safety regulations requiring advanced driver monitoring systems.

Another milestone achieved during the quarter involved showcasing what management described as the industry’s first single-mirror integrated Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Occupant Monitoring System (OMS), and electronic mirror (eMirror) solution.

The integrated platform combines multiple sensing and imaging functions into a single hardware solution, helping vehicle manufacturers reduce component complexity while improving safety functionality. Management believes such integrated architectures will become increasingly attractive as automakers seek to reduce system costs and simplify vehicle electronics.

Looking ahead, indie expects continued revenue growth during the third quarter of 2026.

The company projects third-quarter revenue between $67 million and $73 million on a non-GAAP basis. At the midpoint of this guidance, management expects approximately 30% year-over-year revenue growth, supported by approximately $40 million generated from the company’s core operations and roughly $30 million contributed by Wuxi indie Micro.

Management noted that revenue guidance is presented only on a non-GAAP basis because certain future accounting adjustments required under GAAP cannot be estimated with reasonable accuracy due to factors outside the company’s control.

These adjustments include items such as stock-based compensation, acquisition-related expenses, amortization of intangible assets, restructuring costs, and other accounting items that may fluctuate significantly between reporting periods.

To discuss the quarterly results and business outlook in greater detail, indie Semiconductor scheduled a conference call for analysts and investors on August 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Company executives are expected to review financial performance, operational developments, product strategy, and expectations for the remainder of the year. A replay of the webcast and conference call will remain available through the investor relations section of the company’s website for two weeks following the event.
