Samsung Unveils New Sound Tower ST50F and ST40F: Powerful Portable Party Speakers
Samsung Electronics today introduced its latest portable audio innovation, the Sound Tower ST50F and ST40F, designed to deliver immersive entertainment experiences indoors or outdoors. With bold design, powerful acoustics, and dynamic lighting, the new models bring both sound and style to any gathering.

Powerful Sound, Anywhere
The Sound Tower lineup delivers up to 240W of rich, room-filling sound with enhanced clarity and deep bass. Samsung’s Waveguide technology and dual dome tweeters create a wider soundstage with crisp treble, while dual woofers offer adjustable bass modes — Deep, Punchy, and Gentle — to suit any mood.
Four additional audio settings — Standard, Wide, Stadium, and Outdoor — ensure optimal sound whether it’s a backyard barbecue or a packed dance floor.
Both models feature long-lasting batteries (up to 18 hours on the ST50F and 12 hours on the ST40F), replaceable power packs, and IPX4 water resistance, so the music doesn’t stop even when the party moves outside. Users can also connect multiple units with Auracast™ Group Play or pair two towers via True Wireless Stereo (TWS) for true left-right channel separation.
Lights That Move With the Music
The Party Lights+ system turns the Sound Tower into a full audiovisual experience. With five preset moods and six lighting patterns, the system syncs with music in real time, activating dozens of LEDs that wrap the speaker in color.
Lighting effects span five areas of the speaker for a 360° glow:
- Track Light: racetrack-style LEDs circling the woofers
- Ring Light: vibrant colors around the tweeters
- Line Lights: perimeter accents framing the body
- Crystal Lights: energizing glow at the base
- Handle Light: illuminates the control panel and doubles as a device stand
For added fun, DJ Booth and Karaoke modes plus a guitar input let users transform any space into a live stage.
Bold, Portable Design
The Sound Tower combines striking geometry, integrated lighting, and mobility-focused features:
- ST50F: 240W output, 6.5” dual woofers, 25mm tweeters, up to 18-hour battery, telescopic handle and wheels, IPX4 water resistance.
- ST40F: 160W output, 5.25” dual woofers, 20mm tweeters, up to 12-hour battery, integrated handle, IPX4 water resistance.
Both models feature Samsung’s Grip & Roll design for easy transport, ensuring powerful, portable sound wherever the party goes.
