Supermicro Reports Strong Fiscal 2026 Results as AI Infrastructure Demand Drives Record Orders and Backlog
Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI) reported strong preliminary financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, highlighting continued momentum across its AI, enterprise, cloud, and data center infrastructure businesses.
The company said its Total AI/IT Solutions strategy continued to gain traction during fiscal 2026, with several hundred enterprise and other customers added over the past year. Supermicro generated more than $60 billion in new orders and entered fiscal 2027 with a record backlog, reflecting sustained demand for AI infrastructure and optimized data center solutions.
“As demand accelerates, we are improving profitability through a richer enterprise customer mix and broader adoption of our optimized Data Center Building Block Solutions® (DCBBS) architecture,” said Charles Liang, Founder, President and CEO of Supermicro. He added that the company is continuing to invest in technology leadership, manufacturing capacity, and global compliance to help customers deploy AI infrastructure more quickly and efficiently.
Fourth-Quarter Fiscal 2026 Performance
Supermicro reported a non-GAAP gross margin of 17.6% for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. The non-GAAP figure excludes approximately $9 million in stock-based compensation expense.
The company reported non-GAAP diluted net income of $1.70 per common share for the quarter, reflecting the continued contribution of AI infrastructure demand and the company’s growing enterprise customer base.
Supermicro’s performance comes as businesses, cloud providers, and data center operators continue to increase investment in accelerated computing and AI infrastructure. The company’s DCBBS architecture is designed to provide customers with modular and configurable infrastructure solutions that can be optimized for different workloads and deployment requirements.
Fiscal Year 2026 Financial Results
For the full fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, Supermicro generated $39.1 billion in net sales, a substantial increase from $22.0 billion in fiscal 2025.
The company’s fiscal 2026 gross margin was 10.8%, compared with 11.1% in the previous fiscal year. Despite the modest decline in gross margin percentage, the significant increase in revenue contributed to substantial growth in overall profitability.
Supermicro reported $2.2 billion in GAAP net income, equivalent to $3.26 per diluted share, compared with $1.0 billion, or $1.68 per diluted share, in fiscal 2025.
On a non-GAAP basis, fiscal 2026 gross margin was 10.9%, including adjustments for $34 million in stock-based compensation expenses.
Non-GAAP net income attributable to common stockholders reached $2.5 billion, or $3.63 per diluted share, compared with $1.3 billion, or $2.06 per diluted share, in fiscal 2025.
The company said its fiscal 2026 non-GAAP net income included adjustments for approximately $316 million in stock-based compensation expense, net of a related tax effect of $97 million.
The results demonstrate the scale of Supermicro’s expansion as AI infrastructure spending becomes a larger component of enterprise and data center capital investment.
Cash Position and Capital Structure
As of June 30, 2026, Supermicro held approximately $7.5 billion in cash and cash equivalents.
At the same time, total bank debt and convertible notes stood at approximately $8.7 billion.
The company’s balance sheet reflects the significant investment required to support its rapid growth, expand manufacturing capacity, develop new AI infrastructure products, and meet increasing customer demand.
Supermicro continues to focus on expanding its global manufacturing footprint and strengthening its ability to deliver high-performance computing infrastructure at scale.

Fiscal 2027 Outlook
Supermicro expects the strong demand environment to continue into fiscal 2027.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, ending September 30, 2026, the company expects net sales to be between $14.5 billion and $15.5 billion.
GAAP diluted earnings per share are expected to range from $0.89 to $0.98, while non-GAAP diluted earnings per share are projected to be between $1.01 and $1.10.
The company’s guidance assumes a GAAP tax rate of approximately 20.1% and a non-GAAP tax rate of approximately 20.5%. Supermicro expects a fully diluted share count of approximately 745 million shares for GAAP results and 761 million shares for non-GAAP results.
The first-quarter GAAP earnings outlook includes approximately $106 million in expected stock-based compensation expense, net of related tax effects of approximately $32 million. These expenses are excluded from the company’s non-GAAP earnings-per-share guidance.
For the full fiscal year 2027, Supermicro expects net sales to reach between $65.0 billion and $72.0 billion.
If achieved, the midpoint of this guidance would represent another significant increase from fiscal 2026 revenue, underscoring management’s expectations for continued expansion in AI and IT infrastructure demand.
AI Infrastructure Remains a Key Growth Driver
Supermicro’s growth strategy is increasingly centered on AI infrastructure and its Total AI/IT Solutions portfolio.
The company’s DCBBS architecture enables customers to configure systems around specific workloads using modular components, including processors, GPUs, memory, storage, networking, power, and cooling technologies.
This approach is particularly relevant as AI workloads become more diverse and demanding. Customers increasingly require infrastructure that can be configured for high-performance computing, large-scale AI training, inference, enterprise applications, cloud environments, and edge deployments.
Supermicro also continues to expand its liquid-cooling and other advanced cooling capabilities, which are becoming increasingly important as AI systems generate higher levels of power consumption and heat.
Management said that a growing mix of enterprise customers and broader adoption of its optimized building-block architecture are helping the company improve profitability while maintaining its focus on rapid infrastructure deployment.
Risks and Forward-Looking Statements
Supermicro cautioned that its projections and other forward-looking statements are subject to a range of risks and uncertainties.
These include potential fluctuations in quarterly operating results, increasing customer concentration as the company pursues larger customers and sales opportunities, changes in average selling prices, demand for newer-generation products, higher costs, and broader economic conditions.
The company also noted that tariffs and other adverse economic developments could affect its business and financial performance.
In addition, Supermicro disclosed that its Board of Directors is conducting an independent review of certain transactions related to export-control issues. The company stated that the outcome of this review could affect its forecasts, preliminary financial results, and prior-period results.
Investors were also cautioned that actual results could differ materially from current projections. Additional risk factors are detailed in the company’s filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Preliminary Financial Results
Supermicro emphasized that the financial information included in the announcement remains preliminary and unaudited.
The company’s financial closing procedures for the quarter and fiscal year ended June 30, 2026 had not yet been completed when the results were released. Consequently, the final financial statements may contain adjustments that could cause the reported results to differ from the preliminary figures.
Management and the audit committee still need to complete their reviews and other financial closing procedures. Supermicro’s independent registered public accounting firm had not audited, reviewed, compiled, or performed procedures on the preliminary financial data at the time of the announcement.
The company said investors should therefore not view the preliminary figures as a substitute for the final financial statements that will be prepared in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and subsequently filed with the SEC.
